Heritage Weekend & Classic 2018 Media
This year's farewell gala honored two titans of the Greek American community, John Calamos and Dean Metropoulos. Both men not only lead by example, but their tireless efforts not only in our community, but globally, shine a great light on Hellenism. The NHS commissioned original oil paintings of both men by artist Euripides "Rip" Kastaris. The oil paintings, shown below, will be donated to the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago as part of their permanent collection archiving the Greek American story. The paintings were presented and showcased at the gala and accompanied salutatory videos put together by the NHS to honor these great men.
