 The NHS had a blast at the 2023 Independence Day Parade in Philly! Thousands of people were in attendance celebrating our freedom and culture. Heritage Greece alumni marched with a banner advertising Cliffs of Freedom, an epic film inspired by historical events set at the dawn of Greece's War for Independence in 1821. The film features an unforgettable performance by Academy Award-winning actor, the late Christopher Plummer. Also starring are Emmy Award-winning actress, Patti LuPone, Screen Actors Guild Award-Winning actor, Billy Zane, Tania Raymonde, Jan Uddin, Raza Jaffrey and an all-star supporting cast.

 On May 4, 2019, Nick and Athena Karabots hosted a group of National Hellenic Society members at their 270 acre Karamoor Estate in Pennsylvania. The Estate features pristine gardens and grounds and includes 23 lush acres of vineyards yielding a selection of award-winning wines. Our Members enjoyed an exclusive wine tasting, cheese tasting and tour with special guest Diane Kochilas, star of the PBS hit series, My Greek Table!
 The National Hellenic Society was invited to speak at the behest of The Hellenic University Club of Wilmington at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church for Greek Letters Day. Our members Mr & Mrs Mistras and Mr & Mrs Caras were in attendance where they also serve on the board at Holy Trinity in Wilmington.
 Celebrity chef and author Diane Kochilas is back for a special NHS tour to celebrate her PBS 13-part series, My Greek Table. The series is also co-sponsored by the National Hellenic Society.
Diane was the featured guest at four NHS chapter-hosted events along with NHS Executive Director Art Dimopoulos in Boston, MA at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston hosted by NHS Chairman Drake Behrakis; Philadelphia, PA at Estia Restaurant hosted by Estia’s Stacy Pashalis and NHS member John Vasiliou; New York, NY, hosted by Kellari Taverna; and Washington, DC, hosted by Kellari Taverna DC. Diane talked about her My Greek Table journey, and guests also got to watch clips from the series while sampling wine and cheese!
