NHS Creates Opportunities | A Collaboration of the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation with the Heritage Greece Program
Starting next year, The National Hellenic Society will collaborate with the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit organization honoring exceptional undergraduate students of Hellenic descent and supporting their efforts with significant monetary awards based on academic merit and financial need.
The National Hellenic Society in collaboration with the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation held its Third Annual Mentor/Mentee Meet & Greet luncheon in Georgetown thanks to the generosity and dedication of hosts, Ted and Demetra Argeroplos. Ted and Demetra are NHS members and parents of children that attended both the Heritage America and Heritage Greece Programs. Ted also serves on the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors.
Undergraduate and graduate students met to discuss their respective career aspirations ranging from law, government, international relations, accounting, consulting engineering, computer science, federal government agency work. Representative higher educational institutions included Columbia, Georgetown, George Washington, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland, Christopher Newport and other universities. NHS members from throughout the U.S. are available to serve as mentors and provide advice, guidance and direction to alumni of the Heritage Greece, Heritage America and PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation.
