WASHINGTON (June 14, 2012) — As part of the National Hellenic Society’s (NHS) Boston roll-out, the Society coordinated a forum in collaboration with the Alpha Omega Council and National Hellenic Student Association for Greek American entrepreneurs presenting their business models to a group of business experts. The event was held at Boston College in May. ![]() The “Dream It-Do It!” Forum brought together five Greek American-led start-up companies and a panel of experts with venture capital/investment, marketing/consulting, and legal backgrounds. The experts provided feedback, advice and support. NHS’ Boston Co- Chairs Drake Behrakis, Costa Sideridis, and Demetri Chriss coordinated the event. Alpha Omega President Nick Kourtis, TwinStrata Chief Operating Officer served as Moderator.Panelists included: Tim Marken, Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer, Altus Marketing & Management; Drake Behrakis, Marwick & Associates, and Professor Maria Sannella, Ph.D., Carroll School of Management, Boston College. ![]() “We are proud to help guide and grow Greek American-owned companies to their next levels of development,” said NHS Boston Co-Chair, Drake Behrakis. NHS will appoint a mentor to each presenter who will provide ongoing guidance as the companies strive to meet their goals.
