Heritage Greece (HG) is a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore Greek heritage, culture and identity. The HG experience continues beyond Greece as HG alumni avail themselves of opportunities to develop professionally as part of the HG Alumni Network. ![]() The Network’s aim is to nurture the lifetime bonds created among the students during the Program, to bring the alumni together with NHS members and to give them access to NHS’ network and programs. The alumni have been organized into groups corresponding to NHS Chapters located in areas where the students currently reside. This organizational structure offers the alumni the opportunity to associate with their Chapter leaders and attend regional/chapter events and programs, maintaining their engagement with Hellenic heritage and expanding their network. The HG alumni have 2-3 regional individual volunteers serving as leaders appointed by the Program Committee to coordinate alumni participation to Chapter events and engagement with programs. HG Alum leaders assist NHS with enlisting volunteers for NHS national and local programs. The NHS communicates with HG alumni through private social media channels, keeping them apprised of NHS news, events and updates on the HG Program. HG alumni’s agenda includes the development of local programs and activities that keep alumni engaged in the NHS and the Greek American community. The HG alumni are asked to consider creating a framework for several programs of their interest as part of their role as ambassadors of Hellenic heritage.
