WASHINGTON (August 17, 2011) -- The National Hellenic Society (NHS), a non-profit foundation focused on the preservation of Hellenic heritage in America through the support and sponsorship of educational and charitable programs, has re-launched its website to offer an improved, user-friendly redesign that provides easier instant access to information about NHS’ programs. “The website’s redesign is clean and streamlined enabling users to explore our expanding charitable programs and events with greater ease,” said Executive Director Timothy Maniatis. “We believe it has become increasingly important to increase our online presence as interest continues to grow among individuals looking to connect or reconnect with, or simply strengthen, their ethnic identity.”
Through easy to identify tabs the redesigned website offers quick access to NHS’ programs, news, and events, and other relevant sections. Website visitors can access a tab and find subcategories neatly arranged in easy-to-read sections that provide information at the visitor’s fingertips. Other features include:
The redesigned website also links to www.myparea.com, NHS’ social networking site dedicated to keeping the bonds strong between Greek Americans through a social networking application. The link to myparea.com can be found under the “Programs” tab from the home page. To view NHS’ new look, please visit www.nationalhellenicsociety.org.
