From May 27–29, 2026, Athens will host Panathēnea, a new tech and business festival bringing together founders, investors, and artists from across Greece, Europe, the U.S., and beyond, for a modern reimagining of the ancient gatherings that once made the city a center of ideas and creativity.
Led by a team of passionate young Greeks, Panathēnea aims to help position Athens as a 21st-century hub for innovation and creativity while strengthening the culture of entrepreneurship in Greece. The initiative has attracted an impressive group of supporters and advisors from across the global tech and startup community, as well as leaders from Greece’s growing innovation ecosystem. For members of the Greek diaspora, the festival offers a unique opportunity to connect with Greece’s evolving innovation and creative ecosystem, and engage directly with investors, founders and global business leaders working on some of the biggest issues and topics of the day.

The inaugural festival in May 2025 drew more than 3,000 participants from Greece and abroad. This year, attendance is expected to exceed 10,000, with an expanded program that includes a parallel arts and culture festival and more than 70 curated side events across the city.
Panathēnea is emerging at a particularly meaningful moment for Greece. After a decade of economic crisis, the country has entered a period of renewed momentum, marked by strong economic performance, rising investment, and most importantly—a new generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, and creators building globally competitive companies while remaining rooted in Greece.

Join the global Greek community in Athens this spring and be part of this exciting new effort.
